Hubballi: Throughout the ICC Cricket World Cup, the Hubballi-Dharwad police have been diligently combating cricket betting. The CCB police, who have been conducting raids since the commencement of the prestigious cricket tournament, have once again apprehended individuals engaged in illegal betting.

In a raid on Wednesday, the CCB police conducted a raid on a betting establishment in the Toravi Hakkal area. During the New Zealand vs. South Africa match, three bookies were allegedly involved in unlawful betting activities.

Inspector Prabhu Gangenahalli led the operation, resulting in the arrest of three suspects and the confiscation of Rs 61,000 in cash and three mobile phones valued at Rs 15,000. A First Information Report (FIR) has been filed with the Kamaripet police in this regard.
